Technology is a wonderful thing. It’s transformed our routines over the course of our lives from a world where we have to do everything ourselves, to the simplicity of having near robot assistants helping us to complete everything from repetitive mundane tasks to smart phones that help us to stay organised.
Kitchen tech is the latest craze to be sweeping the UK, and that’s what we’re all about at The Perfect Coffee. More specifically, we’re obsessed with the things that the latest coffee machines can do. We’ve come a long way since the adverts in the 80s with the waiter pretending to be a coffee percolator…
Joking aside, there’s no way that anyone can be conned into thinking instant coffee will match the quality of what a good home machine will do today – you just need to look at the bean to cup coffee machine reviews on the internet to see what a massive industry has sprung up, largely thanks to the likes of Starbucks and Costa Coffee outlets that people have integrated into their daily lives. It’s almost reached to point of addiction for some people, who are spending more on coffee on the way to work each month that they are on their sky TV subscription, house insurance, and in some cases even council tax!
It’s that huge spend that we believe is driving the popularity once more for home coffee makers, not for the same reason as we saw in decades gone by, but because it’s simply a lot cheaper (as the machine cost is a one off) to brew a coffee at home, and the quality is just as good, if not better if you really learn to master using the machines.
There are a few big players in the home coffee market, with the two biggest being Delonghi and Sage (known as Breville in the USA).
